EVENT DETAILS & PURPOSE:
You're invited to join us in-person for our 2021 Holiday Wrappings Luncheon and Fashion Show - be a part of the movement - women fighting cancer! Gather your friends and family on December 7th and join us for a fun-filled day, while bringing HOPE to many. During our 10 AM - 2 PM event, we will be highlighting fashions from local retail boutiques, featuring a large silent auction, chinese auction, Mercedes car and Mercedes E-bike raffles, spirit raffle, and serving! Specialty drinks will be available for purchase at the bar. An emaill confirmation will follow your purchase.
For the safety of all, masks are required when guests are not seated. With the purchase of a table, you will be able to choose your table guests. We will make every effort to seat individual guests with fewer guests than usual at our large round tables which will also be spaced farther apart than in years past. If you have symptoms of COVID, please DO NOT ATTEND. For those attending, be sure to wear a memorable face mask, as we will have a panel of judges pick out their favorite masks of the day!

Along with the challenges we've all faced during the COVID-19 pandemic, cancer research has faced new challenges as well as the patient services we've been able to provide. Cancer hasn't stopped, but many cancer research labs had to pause their work during the pandemic as did our American Cancer Society Hope Lodges and our Road to Recovery programs. Now, more than ever, funding is critical.
Your support of Holiday Wrappings 2021 will fund our Hope Lodge of Baltimore's 10 million dollar campaign to provide free lodging for cancer paitents like those who live here on Delmarva whose best hope for effective treatment is at one of the major centers in Baltimore. Hope Lodge provides free lodging for the cancer patient and one caregiver, allowing guests to focus on getting better in a nurturing home-like environment where they can retreat to private rooms or connect with others. In 2019, more than 400 cancer patients and their caregivers stayed nearly 13,000 nights at Hope Lodge in Baltimore, saving an estimated $2.3 million in out-of-pocket costs. Eastern Shore patients filled rooms on 426 of those nights at a $74,550 savings to those patients.
